Development of Arabic Teaching Materials Based on Religious Moderation at MTs Miftahul Khair

Abstract

This study examines the development of Arabic teaching materials based on religious moderation as an educational strategy to foster harmony in a pluralistic society. Religious moderation is emphasized as an approach that promotes values of tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and the avoidance of extremism. The aim of this research is to design teaching materials that are relevant to the principles of moderation, enhance students' competence in Arabic, and strengthen their understanding of moderate Islamic values.
The research methodology includes the analysis of the concept of religious moderation in education, the development of teaching materials based on moderation principles, and the application of teaching methods that support these values. The developed teaching materials are designed to integrate Islamic content with moderation values such as justice, balance, and compassion, and utilize technology-based learning approaches and interactive methods.
The results indicate that moderation-based teaching materials are effective in improving students' Arabic skills while simultaneously fostering a moderate character. The use of educational technology, such as interactive applications and digital media, has proven to enhance student motivation in learning. Additionally, the involvement of teachers in the implementation of these materials, supported by government policies, plays a key role in the success of moderation-based learning.
In conclusion, the development of moderation-based teaching materials not only supports the achievement of national educational goals but also contributes to building a tolerant, religious, and globally prepared generation. This study recommends strengthening collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and teachers to create a harmonious and inclusive learning environment.
