Abstract

Madrasah is an educational institution that initially served as non-formal education, and its establishment was able to change the educational landscape in Indonesia at the time of its inception and in the future.
The educational policies in madrasahs at the beginning of their establishment were free from intervention by any external institutions, including government institutions.
MAPK or Special Program of Madrasah Aliyah is a pilot project aimed at shaping a new generation to become more professional, broad-minded, and moderate, capable of understanding the differences in the religious thoughts of society as outlined in the Joint Decree (SKB). This decree also states that madrasahs are academic institutions that practice Islam as a key concept, providing at least 30% more in general subjects, including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah at the elementary level, Madrasah Tsanawiyah at the middle school level, and Madrasah Aliyah at the high school level.
Therefore, to advance this institution, its development must be carried out comprehensively and consistently, especially in light of national education development policies that emphasize the improvement of human resource quality (HR).
